200 days of fun and intense practice with curators that equips you with the skills vital to the modern profession, equivalent to 4 years spent at a university.
DW200 is a cross-disciplinary course created on the basis of the systematisation of many years’ experience in design and teaching.
The course consists of a weekly online practice session with curators, daily short assignments, half-yearly offline intensives lasting 1—5 days, and two ERA trips to provide practice out in the field.
The assignments are relevant to the contemporary context, help develop critical thinking, and are based on the concept of human centred design.
The programme is divided into two 6-month sections — the Vorkurs and a Specialisation stage.
This one-year course fills in the gaps left after an elementary art education, enabling you to try your hand at different areas of design and gain a greater focus on the profession as a whole.
Based on the results of each thematic module, an assessment is made of the participant’s level. Verbal intelligence and imaginative thinking are tested, along with logical-mathematical, personal and spatial intelligence. The participant’s level in a given subject and their general situation are assessed.
The main focus is on training Communication Designers and Product Designers. The tech firm Yandex makes use of the DesignWorkout® assessment methodology in its recruitment process.
